• Camera ready artwork
  • All camera ready artwork must be high resolution at minimum 600 dots per inch at 100% size.
    
• 3.5” floppy disk

  • When supplying a disk, it must be accompanied by faxed or original composite for proofing purposes.
    
• 100 MB/250 MB Zip disk

Using the latest in technology on Macintosh based systems, DEBCO has the latest software versions of Adobe Illustrator (.ai), Corel Draw (.cdr), and Quark XPress (.qxp).
For all other software, please send files as an encapsulated postscript (.eps) file. Such files are generally acceptable, as long as the file has been exported as an (.eps) file and not merely renamed as such.

File Management Requirements

• Adobe Illustrator: Files should be saved as Illustrator EPS files and in the native Illustrator 9.0 or earlier format.
  In cases in which two different colours are touching (close registration) a 0.5 to 1.0 point trap must exist between the two colours.

• Corel Draw: Files should be exported from Corel Draw as Illustrator 9.0, with all fonts converted to curves whenever possible, to prevent problems with file conversion. Files submitted in the native Corel Draw format must be version 10.0 or previous.

• Quark Xpress: Files must include Macintosh compatible fonts. Please ensure all supporting artwork is included with the QuarkXpress master document. All placed images should be supplied as TIFF or EPS files.

Please supply multi-colour files as SPOT colour separations and indicate exact PMS colour numbers. Four colour process files requiring separation are not considered camera ready.

UNACCEPTABLE ARTWORK

The following are not considered acceptable artwork:

• business cards
• low resolution/low quality photocopies
• four colour process prints
• negative film
• colour transparency film
• PDF files - GIF files - JPEG’s
• embossed/textured images to scan
• coloured bitmaps/tiffs
• images from the web
• text that is smaller than 8 point size

UNACCEPTABLE FILE FORMATS

• Microsoft Word documents (.doc)
• Microsoft Power Point presentations (.ppt)
